Location
The project is located just 30 minutes from Glasgow. Diverse planting scheme includes: Alder, Aspen, Beech, Downy birch, Silver birch, Elm, Douglas fir, Hazel, Goat willow, Larch, English oak, Sessile oak, Rowan, Scots pine and Sitka spruce.
Design
The planting Scheme is primarily for diverse native broadleaf varieties. Some conifers are included for structural elements, mixed forage, shelter and aesthetics. There may be limited thinning of the coniferous species. No thinning of the native species.
Conservation Features
The project serves as a conservation buffer to a vast and hilly Site of Special Scientific Interest to the west which itself is near to the West Coast of mainland Scotland.
