We are seeking an early adopter / investor to part match Forestry Grant Scheme funding by circa 25% and cover front-end costs, in order to lock in a carbon price.  The front end investment costs would be deducted off the price of the carbon at the time of carbon purchase.

This project is located on the renowned Traquair Estate, managed by the Traquair House Charitable Trust.  Highland Carbon previously sold another project on the estate, located at Damhead.

The Glenlude Forest Project is located adjacent to a John Muir Nature Reserve.  It bridges forests on two adjacent estates.  A diverse planting scheme to include native broadleaves and rapid-growing conifers: Scots pine, Sitka spruce, Douglas fir, Norway spruce, rowan, birch, aspen, dwarf birch and black poplar.

The Traquair Project is located on one of the largest estates in the Scottish Borders, The Traquair Estate.   Traquair House, which is a baronial castle, is Scotland’s oldest continually inhabited residence. It dates to 1107, and has been home to the Stuart Clan since 1491.  It has been visited by 27 Scottish Kings and Queens, more than any other residence in Scotland.  It is just 45 minutes from Edinburgh by car.
